Studio Instruments

All our synths are ‘retrofitted’ with midi making programming or sound replacement a possibility.

Guitar amps and drum kits can be arranged for sessions when notice is given.  Some of our amps are also used in the studios rehearsal rooms, so if you need backline please let us know when you book.

The MiniMoog is the classic 70 synthesiser.  It has never been surpassed or even equalled in terms of its versatility.  Check out ‘Crazy Horses’ for ideas.

The MultiMoog has even more options for a more complicated sound.

The Juno, for all your 80’s Fizzy noises.

There are some useful instruments in the  studio rack.  These modules are easily accessible using a MIDI keyboard via the front panel MIDI input on the Emagic Unitor.

  2. Alesis D4 Drum Sound Module

  3. Proteus /2 Orchestral Sound Module

The Live room is home to two acoustic piano’s.  Tuning arrangements can be organised upon request

The Hupfeld has a deep and expensive sound when mic’d from behind and can also have a brighter, more ‘percussive’ sound when the strings are mic’d from the front.

The Schreiber ‘Tac’ Piano has drawing pins in the hammers and is tuned down a semitone for a ‘Bar room’ honky tonk sound.

  1. Pianos

The Hammond organ emanates an unmistakable, rich timbre which can cut through a mix, or gently bring out a chorus.

The Leslie cabinet is a great tool not just for The Hammond but is great for guitar effects or even vocals!

The Rhodes piano, championed by the likes of the Small Faces.  Synonymous with the cutting edge bands of the 60’s and 70’s replicated by the contemporary artists of today.
